Honble Sr

Being lately arrived here from New England since which considering
the Great honor you did mee in February 1693/4 by Introducing mee
into the Royal Favor of my most [Ideale] Lord and Soveraigne his most
gracious Maty I humbly take the Occasion to returne you all
possible thanks, wth which is accompanyed my true respects and
assurance of my service to my utmost power; begging pardon for
my boldness. In addition to the high kindness already done mee,
I humbly presume that whereas the Lord Bellamont is going over
Govrernr to New England: to make it my request to you; you would
vouchsafe a word to his Majty on my behalfe, That he would be
gracioulsy pleased to grant mee his Royal Letter to the Lords of the
Admiralty for my obtaining the Command of that Ship which shall
be appointed for the Governrs Transportation; to whom the Governrs
of New York and Maryland have sent their Approbation of me of my
being well acquainted with the Coast and Country. If this favor may
be effected, for wch I begg yor Edneavour, I desire the Conveyance
thereof to Mr Povey, so with my prayers to Allmighty God for the
preservation of his Majty to whom my life is, and ever shall be
devoted. hartily wishing continuall health and happiness attend
yor worthy selfe I subscribe
